Ever get that feeling you’ve lost something and not quite sure what it is? Get that vague feeling that there’s something not quite where it used to be? Need a spare moment to think what it is?
Take some time out to visit our Lost Property show and check out our three spaces to see if you can find what you’re looking for in the work of 44 Fine Art students from Leeds College of Art, in a show based on urban critic Steven Flusty’s theories on the way public space is designed to control, intercept, filter and repel.
See if you can grasp your lost property in the slippery room, where dreams, the subconscious and memory are lost and found among missing and confused pathways.
Your missing item might be in the prickly room, an anxious space where structure is corroded and it’s difficult to find a spot where you feel comfortable for too long amongst the ruin.
Or perhaps you’ll find what you’re searching for in our jittery room, a personal space, but one where you might feel you have to look over your shoulder, as bodies, objects and actions feel like they’re constantly being watched.
